Update Mouse Records

Time to update mouse records:

1. When the new weaned mice are tagged, you need to update the “Tag”, “Coat Color” and “Ear Punch” information.
2. When these mice get genotyped, you need to update the “Genotype” information. See Mouse Genotype for detail.
3. When the mice die, you need to input “Dead Date”. The dead mice will disappear from the “Cage” and “Census”. However, the records of dead mice are still in the database. If you input the “Dead Date” by mistake, change the dead date to “-” to bring the mouse back to live.

To update mouse records, search the mice and open the records in "Mouse detail" standard or advanced window. The "List view" window is read-only.

If you click “Delete” button on the toolbar, the record will not be physically deleted from the database until you save the changes.

Tip: You can always cancel all the changes by closing the window without saving or clicking on the toolbar.
